Having experienced shooting with famous brands across the country, he is undoubtedly our next pick to have an interesting conversation.
Keep reading to know about one of India’s leading interior photographers.
LAB: What does Deepak like to do besides photography?
DEEPAK: From renting out cassettes to Amazon Prime, movies have been a part of my life. Even when I am working on Photoshop, I would watch a movie on my iPAD kept next to me. When I recall a shoot, I end up recalling the movie.
LAB: If you like this, we can’t be friends
DEEPAK: People not paying for my services and taking it for granted that it is free. Another thing that I dislike is people outsourcing their post-production works.
Lab: What is the most challenging genre that you have worked in photography?
DEEPAK: I would say “Food” photography. To understand food, in general, is difficult. I feel that it doesn’t talk back to me.
The second part of the interview was “complete the sentence”
LAB: On the weekends, I’d like to ___________
DEEPAK: Spend time with my family. Go to the mall and parks.
LAB: There is no such thing as too much ___________
DEEPAK: Movies. I do get tired about shoots but you can always show me a movie. A lot of inspiration comes from movies. My favourite pick would be Wizard Of Oz (1939).
LAB:Stalk me and you’ll find me crushing over ___________
DEEPAK: Works of other photographers, clients, magazines, model shoots. I follow a few brands that are my clients just to keep track of what they are up to.
LAB: What would you KISS, MARRY & KILL in the “Photography Triangle” – Aperture, Shutter speed & ISO?
DEEPAK: Ha Ha Ha.
KISS- Shutter speed (determines the amount of light that goes into your camera and for that reason, I would kiss it)
MARRY- Aperture (Everything depends on Aperture)
KILL- ISO (change in settings brings visual noises which ruin the quality of the pictures)
However, if we were to include Photoshop in this, then I would end up having an affair with PS.
LAB: What do you work towards every day?
DEEPAK: Being in demand for my clients to hold on to the shoot without moving on to someone else knowing they would not get the quality that I have to offer them.
Deepak is surely one of a kind photographer, from styling to shoot to photoshop he sees the importance to be involved in every step. His nostalgic memories and dreams about his family make us go “aww”. Thank you Deepak, we wish you success!
Cheers,
